Cakes are the cornerstone of any great smash cake photo set as well as being the cornerstone of any OMG amazing breakfast! Am I right? Let he who has not eaten cake for breakfast cast the first bowl of… granola bran flakes, or whatever healthy people eat for breakfast. Yup, it is safe to say I have a cake problem. So much in fact that I even found a way to make cake part of my job. Believe me that was not a mistake but very much a calculated decision.

So it should comes as no surprise to you guys when I tell you I watch cake videos on YouTube. I openly scorn people who watch cat videos and then when no one’s looking I sneak away to get my cake video fix. Yup my name is Daniel, and I am a cake-o-holic. But rather than take my first step on the road to recovery I’d rather invite you guys to party with the master. So without further ado here is one of my favorite cake video compilations currently on Youtube. We’re going to call it “research” but we all know what it really is.

This “research video” really does have some great DIY smash cake ideas for photographers and parents. I recommend watching this with a pen and paper so you can take notes. If for nothing else it completes the “research” ruse.
